How to fix WordPress HTTP Error while uploading media or files


If you encounter an HTTP error when you’re uploading the media on WordPress, you need to do some manipulations in your htaccess or your installed theme, as follow:

using one of the FTP client software :

Step 1: verification of server folders permission

  • connect to your server, using ftp soft and right click on the main folder of your web site, verify the permissions of folders and sub folders, it must be 755.

Step 2 : Using .htaccess file

  • upload .htaccess file to your desktop and add lines of code bellow, between module tags :

SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off

Step 3: If http error persist. Using ftp – Upload function.php exist in WordPress theme folder and  add the lines bellow to the file.

}

Conclusion
